Dune is ESS’s original Seaside Sauna. Its name is a reference to Dune’s elevated position, on the dunes overlooking Elie Harbour Beach, across to Elie Beach and the hills beyond.
Dune has been in this spot since June 2022 and has become an icon for The Scottish Sauna Movement. Housed inside a converted horse trailer, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, Dune is angled to face the setting sun, whatever the time of year and is perfect for a sauna session whatever the time of day/year (or weather!). Dune offers amazing views, peace, tranquility and a sense of being detached from the media and materialism, of our modern world.
Lined in blonde Aspen that reflects the light and smells of caramel, when heated, Dune is a joy for all the senses, offering a relaxing environment in the winter, when the only light is the stove and the stars, and an enlivening experience in the summer, when it elevates the long light, of a Scottish summer.

Ticket prices are based the per person price x 6.

Packages:
5 sessions, for the price of 4 sessions, are available, to be used within a 6 months period.
These are non-transferable and must be used by the person who paid for them, as they are a reflection of our gratitude, for regular bookings, from our regular customers.
Individual tickets: We may offer single tickets for Dune, very occasionally. If this is the case, they will be charged at the per person price of peak, or off-peak. , with 6 available per timeslot. This is a great option for individuals and smaller groups who are happy to share the space.

Peak times: Fri 4.00pm and after, all weekend, Bank Holidays, July, August and all school holidays.
Off Peak Times: Mon – Thurs all day/night (closed Tuesday and Wednesdays, except at special request) & Fri until 4.00pm
